At Sage Springs, we believe in the healing power of genuine human connection
Meet Hannah
Hi! I’m Hannah, the owner of Sage Springs Therapy. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Colorado and have been in practice since 2013. I attended University of New Hampshire’s graduate program and, following graduation, moved to Colorado Springs after having fallen in love with the state on a summer road trip. From there I began working as a therapist for children and families in the justice system, including working with juvenile sexual offenders. While this was incredibly meaningful and often rewarding work, I knew my true calling was working with adults who were looking for understanding, healing, connection, and more fulfillment in their lives and relationships. This led me to open my own practice, which has allowed me to work with the people and issues closest to my heart.
I take a human-first approach to therapy, focusing heavily on relationship-building, creating an empathetic and safe environment for my clients, and using compassion, education, humor, and skill-building to support my clients as they work toward more fulfilling and healthier lives and relationships. Non-judgment is a central pillar of my approach; I find that most everybody makes sense once you learn enough about them, and I hope to help you feel known and seen without judgment.
Helping my clients heal from past traumas is a central part of my work. I completed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EDMR) training through the Maiberger Institute in 2021 and utilize this approach for trauma treatment when indicated. My approach combines Psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based work, CBT and skill-building, mindfulness practices, and EMDR.
Outside of my office, I am building a life with my partner and two awesome step kids. As part of a blended family, I’ve developed a passion for supporting people on the journeys of separation or divorce, navigating the dating world, and learning how to build a healthy blended family while navigating often complicated dynamics.
In my free time, I am usually hiking with my dog Charlie, cross-stitching, reading, cooking for my family, camping, or searching for golf balls while my partner golfs (it’s more fun than it sounds!) As a therapist, I have a passion for this work and genuine care for each one of my clients. If it sounds like we might be a good fit, feel free to reach out to schedule an initial consultation - I’d love to hear from you!
